My Book “Apprentice To The Wild” Is Launched

I’ve been having a blast since the launch of my book Apprentice To The Wild on Whidbey Island earlier this month. Since then I’ve been busy with readings on Whidbey Island, in Port Townsend, and at Seattle University.

These photos are from my Book Launch a couple weeks ago on Whidbey Island. My community really showed up, filling the sanctuary at the Unitarian Church in Freeland. It was the perfect way to set this book loose into the world!

Two of my biggest fans at the Book Launch were my grandchildren Neve and Ethan.

These photos are from my reading last weekend in Port Townsend, on Feb. 15, where I shared the podium with fellow writer and Alaskan salmon troller Tele Aadsen, author of What Water Holds. Moderating the event with another packed audience in the Port Townsend Friends Meeting House was our Editor-Supreme Holly Hughes from Empty Bowl Press, pictured in the center on the right.

A listing of future readings is listed on my website HERE.

This coming weekend, Feb. 21-22, I will be presenting at the Fisher Poets Festival in Astoria, OR, where I will share readings at the Liberty Theater on Friday evening, and Xanadu on Saturday evening. This is always a fun and boisterous gathering.
