Peninsula College, The Little Theater
Port Angeles, WA
Studium Generale Speaker Series
12:30 PM, The Little Theatre
Open to the Public

This reading is being sponsored by Kate Reavey, PhD, of Peninsula College. Her class is open to the public, and I look forward to both the reading from Apprentice To The Wild, and conversations to follow. Port Angeles is the gateway to some of my favorite places on the planet.

This reading and conversation at Village Books is being sponsored by the North Cascades Institute “Nature of Writing Series”. A conversation with the author will be hosted by Saul Weisberg, Founding Director of the North Cascades Institute, and a close friend. There is limited seating, and pre-registration is required. Tickets are $5, or free if you buy a copy of the book when you register. I am very much looking forward to this event.

Griffin Bay Books Reading
Friday Harbor, WA
2:00 PM
155 Spring Street, an easy walk from the San Juan Island ferry

I really look forward to this reading at Griffin Bay Books! I have fished salmon commercially out of Friday Harbor, and love San Juan Island. Without a doubt it is one of my favorite places in the Salish Sea - a perfect fit in many ways for my book Apprentice To The Wild.

Meg and Brad Olsen took over a languishing book store in Coupeville in 2017, and have turned it into a thriving community hangout on Coupeville’s historic Front Street, built out over the water close to Coupeville’s historic pier on Penn Cove. I am enjoying these opportunities to connect through my book more deeply with my own extended community on Whidbey Island. Come enjoy a dinner and outing in Whidbey Island’s historic original town, spiced by a reading and conversation from Apprentice To The Wild.
